C-Kira - or Cheap Kira - is the name given to a killer who uses a Death Note to kill old people who want to die and be put out of their misery forever. During a televised broadcast in which a number of people request to die, C-Kira kills them by way of a heart attack. It can be assumed, because of this, that C-Kira made the Shinigami Eye deal.

As his bodyguards approach him about the case, Near makes it clear that C-Kira is irrelevant to Near's interests. However, Near - as L - launches a nationwide broadcast telling Japan that he does not care about C-Kira. However, he ends this broadcast by calling C-Kira an abominable murderer. This startles C-Kira, and 3 days later he ends his life by writing his name in the notebook.

C-Kira remains a complete mystery. His name is never revealed, nor is his face ever shown; what is known about him is that he is a male, as revealed by Midra, and that his willpower is surprisingly weak, resulting in his death.
